Carahsoft Technology has agreed to distribute security platforms and service offerings from Dell Technologies’ RSA subsidiary to state and local government agencies and educational institutions under an expanded partnership.
The expanded distribution agreement makes RSA’s cybersecurity platforms available on Carahsoft’s state and local contracts such as the California Multiple Award Schedule, Virginia Information Technologies Agency and Texas Department of Information Resources contracts, Carahsoft said Friday.
Carahsoft has been a distributor of RSA’s security products and services to public sector clients since February 2015 through its spot on the General Services Administration schedule and the Department of Homeland Security-GSA Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation blanket purchase agreement.
“In addition to facing the same cybersecurity threats as federal agencies, states, cities and school systems also face challenges procuring the technology they need to protect their networks in an efficient and cost-effective way,†said Faraz Siraj, director for Americas channel at RSA.
Siraj added the expanded agreement with Carahsoft’s partner ecosystem seeks to provide government clients access to RSA’s cybersecurity platforms designed to facilitate compliance with the Defense Department’s Risk Management Framework and other federal mandates and guidelines.
