Gentex has won a potential five-year, $51.4 million contract to provide 84,376 updated combat helmets and data reports to the U.S. Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps Systems Command received three proposals for the indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract and obligated nearly $10 million in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.to cover the first delivery order, the Defense Department said Friday.
Work will occur in Simpson, Pennsylvania, through May 2022.
Carbondale, Pennsylvania-based Gentex manufactures a range of personal protection and situational awareness products designed for defense forces, emergency responders and industrial workers.
