The U.S. Air Force has awarded Microsoft a four-year, $44.7 million contract to provide proactive and reactive services in support of the military service’s network enterprise.
USAF aims to increase the operational efficiency, performance and uptime of AFNet with Microsoft Premier Support, the Defense Department said Thursday.
Microsoft will perform contract work at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia, Ramstein Air Base in Germany, Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii and McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas through Nov. 30, 2020.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center has obligated $3 million in fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
