Airbus‘ defense and space business segment has launched an online basemap that works to provide customers access to homogeneous imagery of the Earth’s landmasses.
The One Atlas basemap is designed to facilitate data sharing across teams or partner organizations and help users plan, map and locate personnel, assets or areas of interest, Airbus said Thursday.
Bernhard Brenner, head of intelligence business cluster at Airbus Defence and Space, said the segment will update, select and process imagery for clients with One Atlas.
The service is intended to support various applications such as military operations, infrastructure preparatory studies and tree cover change detection in deforestation-prone regions, Airbus noted.
Airbus DS plans to refresh its online library of satellite imagery offerings within a 12-month period.
