Irving Burton Associates has received a five-year, $10 million contract to provide research, scientific, management and technical services to the Joint Program Committee-1 at the U.S. Army‘s Medical Research and Material Command.
IBA said the contract covers support for JPC-1 in the areas of health information technology, informatics, medical modeling and simulation, systems engineering, logistics, communications and program management.
Karthik Srinivasan, a senior vice president at IBA, said the company has supported USAMRMC’s health IT and telemedicine programs over the past decade.
Julie Olson, IBA director of operations, added the company also supports Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs and the Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Center at Fort Detrick in Maryland.
The Army established JPC-1 in 2010 to conduct research on medical simulation and training and health data sciences as well as to help address requirements and gaps identified by the Military Health System.
