Raytheon has entered into a five-year deal with RUAG Switzerland to service an airborne digital radar warning receiver built for the Swiss government.
Raytheon said Friday it will maintain Switzerland’s ALR-67(V)3 receivers that work to alert F-18 pilots of potential hostile threats under the commercial performance-based logistics contract.
“Our two key metrics for this PBL are availability and reliability,” said Michael Baladjanian, director of Raytheon’s space and airborne systems business.
“We will leverage our know-how and experience sustaining the 67(V)3 to enable a nearly 100-percent-supply availability of the system,” Baladjanian added.
The company noted it has maintained the U.S. Navy‘s radar warning receivers over the past 17 years as part of a PBL agreement and helped the service branch increase mean flight hours between issues by more than 50 percent.
Raytheon is a recipient of PBL Gold Standard award from the Defense Department.
