L-3 Communications plans to move the manufacturing operations of its electron devices facility in San Carlos, California, to the company’s north central Pennsylvania and Los Angeles sites by the end of 2017.
L-3 said Monday the consolidation efforts will occur throughout 2017.
Michael Strianese, L-3 chairman and CEO, said the company will work to ease the transition and consolidation through a phased plan and facilitate continuity of service.
L-3’s electron devices division is supported by ISO-9001-certified facilities that manufacture microwave vacuum electron devices and other products for defense, industrial, medical, scientific and other applications.
