Parsons has completed its solar projects for California’s eastern municipal water district in support of the latter’s sustainability and green energy initiative.
Parsons worked to aid EMWD’s efforts to address rising energy costs through the construction of a solar photovoltaic renewable energy facility and five additional solar projects at EMWD’s regional water reclamation facilities, the company said Thursday.
The project locations are Perris Valley, Moreno Valley, San Jacinto Valley, Temecula and Sun City in California.
As part of the projects, the company conducted a feasibility study, provided engineering and preliminary design services, coordinated with Southern California Edison and provided construction management and inspection support.
Michael Walsh, a Parsons Group president, said the projects were aimed to help EMWD receive California Solar Initiative incentives and bring the facilities online in time to cater to demands in the energy consumption peak season.
Parsons added that the team used the design-build project delivery method in the procurement of the projects.
