Dynetics has unveiled a new reconfigurable surveillance radar that works to help owners or operators of critical infrastructure monitor a larger area without the use of multiple short-range sensors.
The new surveillance technology called GroundAware CS4 includes a radar sensitivity feature that could help detect threats beyond 2.2 miles across a 120-degree view, the company said Wednesday.
Dynetics President Greg Lester noted that the surveillance radar will work to support intelligent monitoring and response to threats across a larger coverage area.
GroundAware has features that work to facilitate integration with other security assets such as electro-optical and thermal/infrared cameras, video management and verification systems, access control systems, acoustic sensors and GPS, Dynetics said.
The technology is also designed to deliver real-time threat intelligence with data on the location, speed, size, gait movement and other factors to classify threats and potentially avoid false and nuisance alarms, the company added.
