UltiSat has been awarded a potential $4.1 million task order to provide Ku-frequency bandwidth support for the U.S. Pacific Command‘s fleet of Northrop Grumman-built Global Hawk unmanned air vehicles.
The company said Wednesday the task order requires bandwidth support for GH Ku-band earth terminals and Tri-band Tactical Field Terminals at the Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, Japan and a GH UAV at the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam.
Amy Gwinn, UltiSat’s senior vice president for government solutions, said the company’s recent acquisition will build on Ultera’s satcom portfolio and build its relationship with DISA and Pacific Command.
The Commercial Satellite Communications Transponded Capacity task order falls under the Defense Information Systems Agency and General Services Administration‘s Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
