Catbird has received authorization from the U.S. Army‘s Network Enterprise Technology Command to deploy a company-built security platform on Army networks.
NETCOM granted Catbird a certificate of networthiness for its Secure software after the technology passed Defense Department‘s network security standards, the company said Wednesday.
Secure works to help users create network segments within a virtual data center and facilitate continuous monitoring of infrastructure.
“Today’s government organizations are being challenged more than ever to maintain the highest level of data and network security,” said Catbird CEO David Keasey.
Keasey added the company aims to provide the Army access to critical intelligence for management of the military branch’s networks and virtual data centers through the platform.
The company designed Secure for customers to automate enforcement of security policies as well as to send security incident alerts and recommend corrective measures to address threats.
