Theodore Samuels, an over 35-year financial industry veteran, was named to the board of directors of Iron Mountain, effective July 17.
William Meaney, president and CEO of the information management services provider, said in a statement published Monday Samuels’ experience as a public equities investor will help provide “unique and valuable perspective” as the company continues to grow.
In addition to his new role, Samuels currently serves as a lead independent director at Bristol-Myers Squibb and holds a position as an independent director at Centene.
He previously served as an investor at investment management firm Capital Group, where he held positions on various management and investment committees from 1981 to 2017.
His career also included time serving as president of Capital Guardian Trust Company, a subsidiary of Capital Group from 2010 to 2016.
