Leticia Ballard, formerly director of communications at Northrop Grumman, was appointed head of marketing and communications at QinetiQ‘s U.S. business arm.
She will draw from her more than two decades of experience and lead the marketing and communications team amid QinetiQ US’ push for growth and expansion, the company said Wednesday.
“I look forward to partnering with our leaders to help elevate the QinetiQ US brand position while telling stories that highlight our people and share the broad range of experiences they have which positively impact our customers,” Ballard remarked.
Her career includes time with a number of companies– most notable is her over 12-year stint at Northrop where she assumed various marketing and communications leadership roles with increasing responsibilities. She started as a strategic marketing communications manager and ascended to communications director at the government and defense contractor.
Most recently, Ballard was with Mediavine as director of communications responsible for driving and handling communications strategy development. She also previously worked at Sirius XM Radio and Harman/Becker Automotive Systems, and has a bachelor’s degree in communications management from Howard University and a master’s degree in international business administration from the University of Birmingham.
“The QinetiQ US team is helping advance our customers’ missions, protecting critical assets and saving lives, and I’m excited to bring our culture of mission-led innovation to life in a creative and impactful way,” said Ballard.
