Charles Whitaker, a U.S. Army veteran with over 30 years of military and industry experience, was named as vice president of strategy at service-disabled veteran-owned small business Barbaricum.
In this role, Whitaker will steer the government contracting company’s global strategy to support warfighters, Barbaricum said Thursday.
Whitaker was recently the chief operating officer at METIS Solutions, where he managed more than 500 employees. He also served as a program manager at CACI International.
During his military service, the Indiana Wesleyan University alum held a number of responsibilities including serving as chief of special activities at the U.S. Central Command from 2005 and 2008.
Barbaricum partner Scott Feldmayer said Whitaker’s addition to the company’s leadership aligns with its commitment to providing the U.S. government with national security capabilities.
