Science Applications International Corp. has secured a potential $163 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide design, development, modernization, sustainment, lifecycle and integration support to naval enterprise networks.
SAIC said Thursday it will support shore networks, related components and network service platforms of the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Shore Networks Branch in San Diego.
NIWC Pacific delivers engineering and technological services in support of the Navy’s information warfare efforts and of the programs of the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Bob Genter, president of the defense and civilian sector at SAIC, said the company is honored to build on its work supporting the Navy and NIWC Pacific and is focused on delivering platforms and services meant to help the service branch address network challenges and carry out various initiatives.
The contract also covers support for command and control of naval units fielded by operational commanders.
