Gartner Research has recognized Sumo Logic as a Visionary in its 2021 Magic Quadrant for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) report, marking the first time the Redwood City, California-based machine data analytics company was presented with the mentioned recognition in the report.
Sumo Logic said Tuesday its Cloud SIEM offering enables automated data collection, ingestion and analysis, and provides security teams with continuous intelligence needed for ensuring security of their cloud and on-premises efforts.
The cloud-native platform also helps Sumo Logic’s customers and partners modernize security operations by replacing their legacy SIEM.
“First-time recognized vendors like Sumo Logic, signal a reshaping of how modern SIEMs, we believe, are leading the way to help solve today’s security challenges,” said Greg Martin, vice president and general manager for the security business unit at Sumo Logic. According to him, the company’s inclusion in the latest Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM report underscores the ability of its cloud-native approach to provide organizations with a holistic view of their security posture.
Sumo Logic has been supporting customers’ security modernization journey over the past five years.
Commenting on the Gartner Magic Quadrant recognition, Doug Natal, general manager of Sumo Logic’s public sector business unit, said, “This announcement, coupled with the [Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program] authorization, gives our government customers great confidence in their decision to choose Sumo Logic for the DevSecOps digital transformations that their missions so desperately need.”
