ICF has received a five-year, $35 million re-compete contract to help the Department of Health and Human Services' Administration for Children and Families prepare children from low-income families for school.

The company said Tuesday it will perform technical support and training services for HHS' Head Start programs within the U.S. southeast region.

The contract expands ICF's existing Head Start program scope to include eight additional states. Work will run over an 11-month base period and may continue for four option years if exercised.

ICF's coverage of the program now includes half of the 12 supported regions. The new contract follows more than $100 million in Head Start-related awards that ICF received in the third quarter of 2020.
