The U.S. Air Force has awarded cloud services and software development company Nalej a five-year, $14.9M contract to provide DevOps support for the service branch’s efforts to prototype a systems integration tool.

Nalej will help the Air Force build the System of Systems Technology Integration Tool Chain for Heterogeneous Electronic Systems intended to handle the push-button delivery of DevOps toolchain capabilities, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The System of Systems Integration Technology and Experimentation STITCHES tool is also designed to help the Air Force manage further systems development activities for warfighting applications, according to the notice.

The Air Force Research Laboratory received two bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee award and will obligate $1M in fiscal 2020 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.

Contract work will take place in Arlington, Va., and New York through Aug. 11, 2025.
