Parsons has received two contract options worth $30.5M combined from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to continue rehabilitation efforts at the Bucholz Army Airfield on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands.

The company said Tuesday it will replace runway, parking aprons and taxiways without disrupting normal airfield operations throughout the single-phase repair project.

USACE initially awarded the company a potential $229M design-bid-build renovation contract in August 2019.

“Bucholz Airfield is a highly strategic national asset for the U.S. military in the Pacific theatre,” said Christian Alexander, executive vice president of engineered systems at Parsons.

Alexader added the company will work to ensure the safety and operational efficiency at the military airport.
