Modern Technology Solutions Inc. has received a potential five-year, $11.1M contract to further develop tools designed to help U.S. Air Force Space Command collect and integrate situational awareness data.
MTSI will help the Air Force Research Laboratory create an architecture to incorporate multiple intelligence information sources into data fusion, machine learning and algorithmic platforms as part of the contract awarded under the Small Business Innovation Research Phase III program, the Department of Defense said Friday.
DoD added the company will work to mature and produce applications for infrastructure being developed by AFRL and the Space and Missile Systems Center.
The service branch is obligating $300K at the time of award. Contract work will occur at a company facility in Alexandria, Va., and Kirtland AF Base in New Mexico through January 2025.
