Amazon Web Services has granted World Wide Technology a Public Safety and Disaster Response Competency designation recognizing the latter's knowledge and capacity to deliver technologies to help clients prepare and respond to man-made and natural disasters and emergencies.
WWT said Thursday the competency status also acknowledges the company as a member of the AWS Partner Network for demonstrating technical capability when it comes to the implementation of measures focused on disaster response and public safety operational methods.
Bryan Thomas, senior vice president of public sector at WWT, said the designation reflects the company's capability to develop platforms in support of the government's emergency preparedness, response and recovery missions.
The AWS Competency Program seeks to help customers connect with AWS consulting and technology partners with industry knowledge and experience.
