Women in Aerospace has recognized Ronna Kirchoff, vice president of civil space programs at Peraton, with the 2019 Outstanding Achievement Award.
The award seeks to recognize Kirchoff's contributions in the aerospace industry and her support of minorities and underrepresented women in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, the company said Wednesday.
Kirchoff also led efforts in optimizing the International Space Station’s communications capacities under NASA’s Space Network Program.
“Throughout the years I’ve known her, Ronna’s outstanding leadership skills, passion for the mission, and dedication to the mentorship and advancement of women and minorities in the industry have been inspiring,†said Roger Mason, president at Peraton’s space, intelligence and cyber group.
