The Federal Aviation Administration has presented Northrop Grumman with the Diamond Award of Excellence, which recognizes the company’s FAA-certified repair station that employs aviation maintenance professionals who have completed a training series.
Northrop said Monday its facility in Rolling Meadows, Ill., received the recognition for the ninth straight year and more than 40 company employees also accepted individual awards from the agency.
The FAA Certified Repair Station services infrared countermeasures systems used on multiple aircraft platforms.
“Keeping our customers’ infrared countermeasure systems ready for the mission is a top priority, and these awards recognize the commitment our employees make to maintain their skills at the highest level,†said Bob Gough, vice president of the land and avionics C4ISR business at Northrop.
