Cubic‘s mission solutions business has received a delivery order to develop a prototype of small form factor radio technology for the U.S. Air Force.
The company said Monday it aims to demonstrate a compact system equipped with an internal waveform called Boomslang and designed to operate with USAF’s Data Link Enterprise that supports ground-to-air and air-to-ground communications.
Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions, said the platform will be based on technologies that the company has implemented in multiple programs for the Department of Defense.
The DLE network is built to facilitate command-and-control data processing within the service branch.
