CertiPath has won a potential five-year, $33M contract to help the U.S. Marshals Service update access control systems and secure facilities of the law enforcement agency.
The company said Wednesday it will support USMS' National Physical Security Program to ensure compliance with federal identity, credential and access management policies through the contract awarded under the General Services Administration's Schedule 70.
USMS facilities include federal courthouses that are located inside historical buildings and impose security procedures.
Consulting services provider Guidehouse helped CertiPath create an integrated approach to address the operational scale of the project.
Jeff Nigriny, founder and president of CertiPath, said the company has supported projects to develop physical access platforms that are synonymous with the government's FICAM initiative over the past decade.
"We have additionally assisted with the creation and drafting of the majority of policy under which FICAM physical access is mandated."
The contract has one base period and four option years.
