Dell Technologies' Virtustream business has expanded a set of professional and managed service offerings intended to help enterprise customers migrate information technology applications to cloud computing infrastructure.
The xStreamCare suite has assisted multiple organizations in migration projects as a component of Virtustream's Enterprise Cloud platform and now includes deployment automation tools, the company said Friday.
The expanded portfolio also integrates a variety of operational functions that include cloud delivery management, global enterprise-class support and disaster recovery services.
“With the market’s continuing evolution to multi-cloud, IT decision makers are either hiring or turning to companies with deep expertise in end-to-end migration planning and services as well as deep expertise in automated, secure, highly scalable and high-performance cloud services for their mission-critical enterprise applications,†said Joy Corso, chief marketing officer at Virtustream.
A Forrester Consulting study found that 97 percent of organizations surveyed have implemented strategies for multicloud transition of their mission-critical apps and nearly 90 percent of respondents have predicted they would increase their investments and staffing for similar deployment projects over the next two years.
