The FBI has requested a one-year extension for its use of the Information Technology Supplies and Support Services blanket purchase agreement, which is set to expire in April.
A FedBizOpps notice posted Friday says the bureau is seeking the extension as IT Enterprise Contract Support is still in the process of being approved as a follow-on to the ITSSS BPA.
The bureau said it has over 30 task orders that are set to be awarded on ITSSS once the one-year extension is approved and would experience delays if those orders were to be competed outside the BPA on the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70.
FCW reported that FBI expects to award the potential $5B ITECS contract by the first quarter of fiscal year 2020 or between October and December.
