PacStar Unveils SWCP CUI Mobile Tactical Comms Suite; Charlie Kawasaki Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting event

PacStar has introduced a tactical communications system the company designed to help military users transmit and protect sensitive data  through laptops and mobile devices.

The Secure Wireless Command Post Controlled Unclassified Information platform supports transmission of video, voice and data communications in Wi-Fi and VPN encryption protocols, PacStar said Tuesday.

The SWCP CUI package works with multiple devices that use built-in LTE or Wi-Fi connectivity and seeks to address Department of Defense mobility requirements.

“Technology advancements by adversaries demand that warfighters have the same secure communications experience while on the move as they do at-the-halt, and this experience must be delivered in a smaller form factor – whether to fit in a backpack of a dismounted soldier or integrated into a transport vehicle,” said Charlie Kawasaki, chief technical officer of PacStar.

The platform, which employs Federal Information Processing Standards-tested commercial off-the-shelf security tools, was implemented in DoD tactical network programs for secret internet protocol router network and non-classified internet protocol router network access.
