General Dynamics‘ Electric Boat subsidiary will continue to help the U.S. Navy repair non-nuclear submarines under a one-year, $46.2M contract modification.
Work will take place in New London, Conn., and covers overhaul, corrective and preventive maintenance, field changes, interim modification and upgrades, the Defense Department said Tuesday.
The company will also provide ancillary services and/or supplies under the modification, which runs through December 2019.
The Navy will obligate $10.1M in fiscal year 2019 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.
Electric Boat initially received a five-year, $240M contract in December of last year to provide non-nuclear repair services at the Naval Submarine Support Facility in Connecticut.
