The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency has released the seventh and final set of 3D digital elevation models covering the Arctic region.
NGA said Friday the ArcticDEM Project‘s latest iteration consists of time-stamped and 2-meter resolution DEM strips encompassing 10 percent of the planet’s surface.
The new models also underwent filtering to increase resolution of densely-forested areas that experience more varieties in weather, according to the Polar Geospatial Center at University of Minnesota.
Potential users can also access DEM mosaic versions with 10-meter, 32-meter, 10- meter, 500-meter and one-kilometer resolutions.
