AT&T to Compete for Federal IT Support Orders via Alliant 2 Contract; Xavier Williams Comments

AT&T can vie for task orders to provide information technology services to federal clients through a potential 10-year, $50 billion contract vehicle managed by the General Services Administration.

“Alliant 2 presents a key opportunity for federal agencies to take a network-first approach to IT system modernization,” Xavier Williams, president of global public sector and wholesale solutions at AT&T and a 2018 Wash100 recipient, said in a statement released Tuesday.

Williams added the company seeks to help customer agencies update, virtualize and equip networks with cybersecurity, mobility, Internet-of-Things, analytics and cloud access tools via the contract.

Speaking with GovConDaily Tuesday, Williams commented, “Effective technology modernization begins with the network. Our experts are ready and eager to help agencies modernize and virtualize their networks to improve mission delivery.”

AT&T is one of the 61 companies that won spots on the Alliant 2 vehicle, which has a five-year base period of performance and a five-year option period.
