The Department of Homeland Security wants information on vendors that can deliver “highly specialized” technical services in support of the DHS office of the chief information officer.
DHS said Tuesday in a FedBizOpps notice that it needs to update its business applications; migrate from unsupported systems; and optimize the OCIO’s application delivery functions.
The department plans to award blanket purchase agreements worth approximately $250 million in total through the General Services Administration‘s Information Technology Schedule 70 contract vehicle.
Interested vendors must describe their capacity to help OCIO meet mission objectives such as the implementation of cloud-based commodity computing services; technical requirements management for enterprise IT services; and maintenance of application service level agreements and performance measurement.
OCIO also needs to accommodate the integration of government and commercial off-the-shelf applications; support interoperability with customer-developed components; achieve and monitor compliance with government IT security standards; and oversee enterprise application development and delivery.
DHS will accept responses to the sources sought notice until Aug. 25.
