Maximus has assisted Tennessee’s Division of Health Care Finance Administration in the implementation of a system to process electronic remittance advices for the state’s Medicaid program.
The company said Tuesday HCFA will use the new system to electronically send information on Medicaid claims payments and adjustments to providers across the state.
Tennessee’s HCFA-administered Medicaid program called TennCare will no longer mail paper remittance advices by Jan. 1, 2017, and instead deliver notices via the Maximus-developed Provider Registration Portal.
The system is designed to help the agency increase process efficiency and accelerate delivery of remittances as well as automatically post such remittances to billing applications, Maximus added.
