NineSigma has received a five-year contract from the General Services Administration to provide support services to federal agencies in the development and management of prize-based innovation challenge projects.
GSA awarded the contract through the 00CORP Professional Services Schedule, NineSigma said Wednesday.
Denys Resnick, chief growth officer at NineSigma, said a prize-based innovation contest is an approach that seeks to “rally a global network of innovators around a clearly defined technical goal.â€
“Federal agency interest in leveraging prize-based innovation has exploded over the past 4 years, and we look forward to helping the U.S. government accomplish its innovation goals,†Resnick added.
The GSA contract authorizes the company to compete to provide services to government agencies that include grand challenges, innovation contests, problem definition workshop, challenge amplification, challenge website management and hosting as well as articulation and need identification coaching workshops.
Cleveland, Ohio-based NineSigma works to help organizations establish relationships with external innovators and address their technical requirements through open innovation challenge programs.
