The General Services Administration has released a single item number for a wide range of health information technology products and services on the agency’s IT Schedule 70 governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle.
Health IT offerings that fall under 132-56 SIN include mobile, electronic prescribing and telehealth platforms, medical sensors, remote monitoring devices and assistive technologies, Mary Davie, assistant commissioner of integrated technology service office at GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service, wrote in a blog entry posted Tuesday.
She said GSA created the number as part of efforts to make it easier for customer agencies to access new and emerging health IT services and help agencies identify market vendors and their products.
“IT Schedule 70 worked closely with the Veterans Health Administration and the Defense Health Agency to ensure the Health IT SIN is a valuable resource to federal, state, local and tribal governments,” she added.
Davie advised current Schedule 70 vendors to submit a modification to their contracts via GSA’s eOffer/eMod online portal.
