Fortinet and Nozomi Networks have agreed to jointly offer their platforms under a partnership in an effort to help critical infrastructure organizations protect industrial control systems from cyber attacks.
Fortinet will integrate its Security Fabric tool with Nozomi’s SCADAguardian platform to facilitate anomaly detection in ICS networks as well as corrective actions against cyber threats, Fortinet said Monday.
Security Fabric is an architecture that works to implement end-to-end segmentation to protect networks from threats associated with the adoption of remote and Internet of Things-based devices.
The Nozomi-built SCADAguardian tool is intended to detect malicious activities in computer networks and block such traffic through alerts to Fortinet’s FortiGate firewalls.
“The convergence of IT and critical infrastructure requires operators and government agencies to apply robust security solutions that can scale and accommodate the complex interactions between IT and physical processes within these environments,†said Patrice Perche, senior executive vice president for worldwide sales and support at Fortinet.
Fortinet will also offer threat intelligence support through its FortiGuard services and Advanced Threat Protection framework as part of the alliance.
