The Defense Department has come to an agreement with Jordan’s ministry of defense to deliver Raytheon-made tube-launched, optically tracked, wireless-guided missiles to the Middle Eastern country starting 2016.
Scott Speet, Raytheon TOW program director, said in a statement released Tuesday that the company’s TOWs work to support its international partners with extended-range precision systems.
TOW missiles — such as the TOW 2A, TOW 2B Aero and TOW Bunker — offer long-range, precision, anti-armor and anti-fortification defenses to more than 40 armed forces worldwide through integration with ground, vehicle and helicopter platforms, Raytheon said.
Raytheon is a defense, civil government and cybersecurity service provider and has distributed roughly 690,000 TOW missiles to U.S. and global forces.
