Acquia has received a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program authority-to-operate designation from the Treasury Department to offer two of the company’s cloud services in the public sector.
Boston-based Acquia company said Monday it will provide its Acquia Cloud Enterprise and Acquia Cloud Site Factory to agencies in a suite of cloud services designed to feature layers of firewall, multi-factor authentication, vulnerability management, security incident response, backups and disaster recovery to meet security requirements.
“Federal agencies are reinventing how they deliver services and information,” Todd Akers, vice president of the public sector at Acquia.
Akers added the Acquia Platform seeks to comply with the changing standards of government agencies.
Acquia lists the Justice Department, Australia’s government, the state of New York, and Los Angeles as among the more than 4,000 organizations that use its open cloud platform.
