The Energy Department has issued a solicitation for industry partners to help facilitate the market readiness and commercialization of Sandia National Laboratories’ active authentication technologies.
DOE said in a special notice posted June 26 on FedBizOpps that Sandia has worked to develop a Quasi-Physically Unclonable Digital ID that uses data scrambling to authenticate devices and counter digital identity theft.
Sandia eyes a technology transfer of Q-PUDID to industry with the help of partners that will provide laboratory staff and instrumentation and receive an exclusive license on Sandia technologies.
The partnership requires a minimum funds-in investment of $500,000, DOE said.
Responses are due Sept. 26.
