HIIHuntington Ingalls Industries has named Andy Green and Michael S. Smith as the newest members of its corporate development team.

Green is now vice president of shipbuilding while Smith takes on the VP role for nuclear and environmental services, working closely with Newport News Energy to execute projects for clients in the public and private sectors, HII said Thursday.

“The addition of Andy and Mike to corporate development strengthens our team and builds momentum in our efforts to create value for our shareholders, customers and employees,” said Christopher Kastner, corporate vice president and general manager for corporate development.

“I look forward to working with both of them to build success for HII.”

Green was VP for component fabrication and assembly for two years prior to his new role. He joined HII in 2011, serving as corporate VP for investor relations until 2013.

Smith was previously VP for business growth with HII’s government and customer relations group.
