
Reps. Frank Wolf (R-Va.) and Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) have been presented with the Keeper of the Flame Award in recognition of their dedication and contributions to promote democracy and human rights worldwide.
Frank J. Gaffney Jr., founder and president of the Center for Security Policy, hosted the 2014 honorees at a Thursday reception in Washington with other members of Congress in attendance.

The center has awarded the distinction each year since 1990.
Wolf, who represents Virginia’s 10th District that covers land between McLean and Winchester, is serving his 17th term in Congress.
He chairs the Commerce-Justice-Science Appropriations subcommittees and has authored several bills to support STEM education, cybersecurity policy and jobs creation.
Bachmann has been serving the 6th congressional district of Minnesota since 2007.
The tax reform advocate serves on the House’s Intelligence and Financial Services Committees.
