Hewlett-Packard announced today it is extending its data protection from data center to cloud with encryption innovations its new Atalla solutions that will work to help safe-guard data throughout its entire life-cycle.
“As organizations embrace the New Style of IT, protecting sensitive information as it moves within and outside the enterprise becomes more critical than ever before,” SVP and general manager, Enterprise Security Products, Art Gilliland said.
The new HP Atalla solutions are built to support data across cloud, on-premises and mobile environments to ensure protection of an organization’s most sensitive information.
There is now an almost constant threat of cyber attack, with organizations facing 122 successful cyber attacks every week, HP said. High-profile data breaches and regulatory compliance requirements have sparked wide-spread adoption of data encryption.
To stay in control of sensitive data, organizations need the ability to encrypt and manage encryption keys even as the data is transferred to the cloud, HP said. The HP Atalla Cloud Encryption is proposed to reduce the complexity of encryption and key management in public, private and hybrid cloud environments.
