Cisco will spend more than $1 billion during the next two years to expand its cloud computing business and deliver enterprise cloud services through a global partner ecosystem.

The Intercloud network will offer a suite of analytics, security and data sovereignty architectures to support the Internet of Everything, Cisco said Monday.

Telstra, Canopy, Logicalis Group, MicroStrategy Inc., OnX Managed Services are among the technology firms that have signed up for Cisco’s cloud partner network.

Robert Lloyd, Cisco president of development and sales, said the company aims to help customers, service providers and resellers create secure cloud environments.

Intercloud offerings are built to manage cloud-based applications and workloads and will be hosted from data centers globally, the company says.

Cisco designed the suite to utilize its OpenStack platform and Application Center Infrastructure for customers to address compliance, auditing and mobility issues.
