BAE Systems has been awarded a $6.9 million contract modification for spare parts on 18 U.S. Army Paladin artillery vehicles, following the original deal to upgrade components of the vehicles, York Dispatch reported Thursday.
Candy Woodall writes work under the contract will continue at the company’s facility in West Manchester Township, York County, Penn., for completion by Sept. 30.
The original, $668 million contract in 2013 called for work on the chassis, engine, steering system and other concerns regarding the Army combat vehicles.
Another Paladin contract being performed at the York County BAE site runs until 2016.
