The State Department has approved the government of Jordan's request to obtain an air combat training center for F-16 aircraft pilots as well as associated equipment and services under a potential $60 million foreign military sales transaction. Lockheed Martin's rotary and mission systems business will serve as the primary contractor for the potential FMS deal.

AECOM has sold its Power construction business to affiliates of CriticalPoint Capital. The sale will add to AECOM’s business transformation strategy to become a higher-margin, lower-risk Professional Services business. “On behalf of our company, I thank the Power construction team for their contributions over the years and wish the business and CriticalPoint Capital the best of success,” said Troy Rudd.

The U.S. Transportation Command has announced its support for the Department of Defense’s new Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification to mitigate risks from its supply chain, the branch stated in February.

Katie Arrington, a Department of Defense official and 2020 Wash100 awardee, said that DoD and an accreditation body aim to launch in late April a pathfinder training pilot program for third-party auditors who will assess companies as part of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, Fifth Domain reported Sunday. Arrington will deliver the keynote speech at the Potomac Officers Club’s CMMC Forum 2020 on April 2.
