ManTech International and Google Cloud have agreed to team up to deliver cloud and analytics services to the U.S. federal government. “The partnership grows out of successful collaborations between ManTech and Google Cloud to accelerate government’s digital transformation,” said Matt Tait, chief operating officer of ManTech.

Amazon Web Services has recognized ManTech International for the latter's performance in cloud migration and the DevOps approach, which combines software development and information technology operations to lessen systems development life cycle. ManTech said Thursday it was awarded the AWS Migration and DevOps Competencies by demonstrating best practices that help government agencies deploy AWS.

Red Hat has recognized ManTech for using the former's open-source products in creating a cyber training system for the U.S. Army. ManTech said Monday it received a Red Hat Partner award for developing the Army's Persistent Cyber Training Environment with the help of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

Sandeep Shilawat, vice president for cloud and edge computing at ManTech International, wrote in an article published Tuesday that agencies should consider cloud as foundational to their digital transformation efforts. One of the first elements to consider as agencies factor cloud into their digital modernization plans is determining the cloud consumption model to ensure that they have the talent and other resources in place to support cloud efforts, he said.

ManTech International has appointed Julie Anna Barker as chief human resources officer, responsible for the development, implementation and execution of HR strategies promoting the company's yearly business objectives and long-term strategic plans. In this role, Barker will report directly to Kevin Phillips, chairman, CEO and president of ManTech and a 2021 Wash100 Award recipient.

ManTech has been awarded a five-year, $273 million contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide Business Intelligence Support Services (BISS) in support of the anti-crime and anti-terrorism efforts of the department’s Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
