The company said Wednesday its software powers the branch's Joint Analytic Real-time Virtual Information Sharing System, a mobile and desktop application designed to help Department of Defense users exchange threat information from various sources.

Autonomous software provider BMC has received a new provisional authorization to provide cloud service products to the Department of Defense in support of its information technology service management modernization. BMC said Monday it received the Defense Information Systems Agency's Impact Level 4 PA for the company's Helix ITSM product designed to support cloud migration and digital transformation.

Lauren Knausenberger has been appointed as the U.S. Air Force deputy chief information officer (CIO) to lead the service branch’s enterprise IT policy and management office, succeeding Bill Marion, who retired from the Air Force as deputy CIO in April 2020. As deputy CIO, Knausenberger will command the SAF/CN office, leading the department’s enterprise IT, cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives.
