Tim Ellis, cofounder and CEO of Relativity Space, has said the company plans to market a 3D-printed rocket to support missions in low-Earth, medium and geosynchronous orbits over the next decade.

Lockheed Martin has partnered with the University of Southern California to launch student-made CubeSat small satellites, SpaceNews reported Tuesday. Students from the university will produce the CubeSats that will undergo integration with a payload built on Lockheed's SmartSat software-defined architecture. SmartSat allows satellite operators to conduct in-orbit mission shifts.

Los Angeles-based aerospace firm Relativity Space has raised $140M in a round of Series C financing led by technology investment company Bond and venture capital firm Tribe Capital.
