Parsons Receives Military Friendly Employer Designation; Jamie Morehead Comments

Parsons has received a designation as a military friendly employer from Victory Media.

The designation is awarded to companies based on their military recruitment and retention programs, the percentage of newly hired military servicemen and policies on National Guard and Reserve service, Parsons said Tuesday.

“Parsons is committed to hiring military talent because of their strong work ethic, technical skills, and real-world experience, and we are pleased that Victory Media has once again recognized us as a military friendly employer,” said Jamie Morehead, Parsons’ vice president of talent management.

Victory Media selected Parsons through a data-driven survey and Ernst & Young LLP evaluated the survey results.

Parsons said this year’s new hires by the chosen companies grew to 35 percent from last year’s 15 percent of total hires.

Victory Media is the publisher of G.I. Jobs magazine, which will showcase Parsons and other firms in its December edition.
