The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency has recognized the implementation and sustainment of industrial security programs of six Northrop Grumman facilities.

Northrop said Tuesday it received DCSA’s James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award, which is given to companies that demonstrate compliance with high-level industrial security standards.

A DSCA-designated industrial security representative nominated facilities, which must have delivered two consecutive superior industrial security review ratings, for the recognition. Awardees are decided based on security program implementation, facility leadership and security best practices.

The agency presented the award in recognition of the facilities of Northrop and its subsidiary in Chandler, Arizona; El Segundo, Northridge and Sunnyvale, California; Melbourne, Florida; and Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

“We are committed to protecting and safeguarding company employees, facilities and assets,” said Mary Rose McCaffrey, vice president for security at Northrop.
